How Online Counselling Works

Online Counselling is simple!
All you need is a stable and strong internet connection and no distractions during our hour long session. It pays to be prepared for the session with a drink, tissues, comfortable seating arrangements and the correct temperature to ensure your comfort. I use a safe and effective internet platform for internet counselling called Zoom. Once you have booked an appointment with me I will send you an invitation by email to join me in a zoom room. You will be required to download Zoom (light download) prior to our first meeting. The simple step by step instructions to do this will be included in your initial invitation. |
The first session is an assessment for both client/s and counsellor. As we familiarise ourselves with each other, you will be decide whether I am the right therapist for you and I will be making an assessment as to how best I can assist you. By the end of the first session, or shortly thereafter, I will share with you a plan for our work together. The duration of online therapy differs for everyone but on average it takes around 6 sessions to begin to see desired changes in both individual and couples counselling. |
